With Shared Boating you can access Australia’s wonderful waterways by owning a share in your own luxury boat. Unlike membership or timeshare operations you always have the security of owning the asset, not just a pile of points.
Shared Boating is the amalgamation of Sydney's top boatshare operations - The Cruising Club, Sydney Boatshare and Boat Syndicates International. Our boatshare programmes have been examined by NSW Maritime who ruled them to be "Recreational Boatshare Schemes" under the official boatshare guidelines.
We have relocated our Hawkesbury River gateway from Bobbin Head to Akuna Bay - just down from Terrey Hills in Sydney's northern suburbs. The move means that we are now much closer to our mechanical workshop at Mona Vale so we can respond much faster to support issues and can more efficiently schedule our preventive maintenance programmes. Akuna Bay also has a 24-hour fuel facility, which will assist us in turning boats around between uses.
Akuna Bay provides much quicker access to Cowan Creek, the Hawkesbury and Pittwater than Bobbin Head. Once you leave the marina you have open speed limits until Cottage Point instead of the no wash zone from Bobbin Head to Houseboat Bay.
Akuna Bay is owned by D'Albora Marinas, who also own the marina at The Spit that is our main base. This gives us great flexibility in terms of reciprocal berthing. Most of our owners at The Spit tell us they would like to have their boat go up to the Hawkesbury now and then and vice versa for our Hawkesbury owners.
We are also operating a retail shop from our premises at Akuna Bay, selling a range of water sports, chandlery and leisure items as well as Four Winns, SeaDoo and Zodiac boats and PWC's.
We are about to order new boats from the Four Winns and Marquis factories under our First Owners Programme. All are diesel-powered with joystick control to assist with berthing. Shared Boating now offers a convenient monthly payment plan to help you own your own share of a luxury boating lifestyle. There are plans for three-year operating finance or twelve-month rental. Both plans incorporate the financing repayment and management fees into a single payment. For as little as $745 per month you can have access to all the rights of a Shared Boating shareowner.
